姓氏起源[edit]
一说，柏姓出自上古的下相柏皇氏，其居于皇柏山，即今河南陈留一带。后人奉柏皇氏为始祖，以柏为氏。[1]
另一说，周代的柏国，在今河南西平一带，后被楚国所灭，其后人便以国名为姓。[1]
《古今图书集成·氏族典·柏姓部》的汇考，引用了《西平县志》氏族条目与廖用贤《尚友录》的柏姓条。[2]
