This is a historical genealogy: everyone in it is public, and only its administrators change it. Where each person comes from is in the notes on their page.
Compiled from the Imperial Clan Genealogical Tables of the History of Song, juan 215 to 241 (Tables 6 to 32, Imperial Clan Genealogies 1 to 27), as transcribed on Wikisource: the descendants of Taizu, Taizong and Tingmei, Prince of Wei, 54,046 people in all. Each person's notes give the juan of the History of Song he is in, linked to that page on Wikisource, and whatever in the transcription needs explaining.
The tables themselves are incomplete. By the time the History of Song was compiled under the Yuan, many of the Southern Song court's records had been lost; branches of the clan that settled across the south after the court moved there are often recorded for only a few generations, and in places the generations are confused. This genealogy takes the tables as its base text, to be added to and corrected by its administrators from other sources, such as local gazetteers and the Zhao family genealogies of each place.
The Wikisource transcription has its gaps too: in juan 221, from the row of Yuhan to the end, the text repeats the end of juan 222 word for word, and the rest of that juan's line of the Prince of Yan is not transcribed; some rows are a cell out of place and have been put back by the generation character in their names; blanks, missing characters and characters with no encoding are kept as they are and explained in the notes. Of the thirty pages used, 25 are marked on Wikisource as not yet fully proofread.
